* Measuring with a ruler and in Illustrator.
* Creating a template for pencil to be positioned in.
* Applying speed and power settings for laser

Objective: 
Learn how to trace images, find symbols and draw using brushes in Adobe Illustrator

Custom 2D Ornament

Objective:
Use shapes and text to create a holiday ornament. Use a specific stroke weight to indicate where perimeter of ornament would be cut by laser.

GREENSCREEN PRACTICE

Objective:
Create a video illustrating “Where I would rather be”. Shoot in front of green screen. Use Adobe Premiere to “Key-out” greenscreen and replace with another background.

3D ORNAMENT

Objective:
Create or download a 3D model.
Personalize it in TinkerCAD by adding text and a way to hang it.
Learn how to “slice” the model and send to 3D printer.

PEN TOOL

Tool used to trace or draw objects using anchors and handles
Chunky Lines
More natural looking lines created by subtracting one shape from another
3 Brushes
Created by converting a shape into a brush. Convert anchors using direct selection, change color mod to tint.
Shading In Illustrator
Create a new layer, trace the area to be shaded, change blending mode to multiply, use feather effect to blur the edge
